Diverticulitis Tea

Diverticulitis tea is made by a few companies and some if it helpful but more importantly, some is not. Some tastes Foul and some tastes good. I have personally tried them all and as a diverticulitis sufferer I can say that I’ve found one that works the best of any brand currently on the market.
While taste wasn’t the most important factor to me, this one actually tastes decent. Not amazing but pretty damn good all things considered. I drink it plain with no added sweetener. I buy the tea from a family business called rachelstea.com but they also give you a recipe where you can make it yourself for free if you either cant afford it or don’t want to buy online. Frankly I think that’s cool, but lets be honest… I’m not going to source all these ingredients and start making my own tea, especially when their price is pretty fair.
I did some homework on what was in the tea before I purchased, and researched each ingredient to see what it’s used for so I’d know if it was decent or not before trying. Here’s a quick break down of the ingredients and their particular claims.

1. Turmeric Root Chunks. Reduces inflammation that can be caused by stomach acid damaging your digestive tract over the years.
2. Wild Yam Root Chunks. Natural pain reliever administered directly to the affected area.
3. Ginger Root Chunks. Calms and soothes any stomach upset, especially after meals.
4. Marshmallow leaf. For regularity and the reduction of swelling near the mucus lining of your digestive tract.
5. Chamomile Flower. Calms and soothes the entire digestive tract.
6. Peppermint leaf and peppermint oil. Cool and soothe the valves throughout the digestive system to allow them to open and close properly and release gas that’s causing bloating or lower stomach discomfort.
7. Fennel Seed. Gas reduction.
8. Slippery Elm Bark. Produces mucus that helps to coat and repair the mucus lining of your own digestive system that can be damaged by stomach acid over the years.

After having an average of 1-2 serious flare ups/year, I can honestly say with these guys tea and following some of the recipes they give you on the site, I’ve never felt better. I haven’t been to the ER in a couple years and I’m totally hooked on the tea.
If you don’t want to shell out the $20 for the month supply, just make it at home in bulk or something, but seriously, you need to try this stuff if you have diverticulitis. It’s a life saver and I’ll never be without it again. Here’s a link to the page where you can find it:

If you still aren’t sure, don’t take my word for it, check out their pain free foods support group on FB or get on amazon and look at their reviews. This stuff is the real deal. I’d feel guilty if I didn’t help spread the word.
